Preparation for Full Mouth X-Rays
- Clothing: Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing without any metal accessories, such as zippers, buttons, or jewelry, around your head and neck area. Metal objects can interfere with the X-ray imaging process and may need to be removed.
- Inform the Technologist: Before the imaging procedure begins, inform the technologist if you are pregnant or suspect you might be pregnant. While dental X-rays emit low levels of radiation and are generally safe for pregnant women, precautions may be taken to minimize exposure if necessary.
- Remove Oral Appliances: If you wear any oral appliances, such as dentures, retainers, or mouthguards, remove them before the X-ray procedure. These appliances can obstruct the imaging process and affect the quality of the X-ray images.
